Working with the OpenSpirit Plug-in, users will reduce their data loading time by 80% or more. Wells will be directly imported from OpenWorks or GeoFrame databases instead of going through flat files improving the efficiency of the data loading activity.
Current Release Highlights
The OpenSpirit plug-in uses the OpenSpirit Toolkit to access and interact with Openworks, Seisworks, and IESX. This plug-in suppresses the need for filters between Base Module and major vendor products, resulting in increased productivity and easier use. Seismic data does not need to be moved and well data are directly accessed in the data base. This plug-in supports events generated by the interpreter in its interpretation workstation. Modifications to the interpretation are automatically propagated back inside the applications.
Future Release Highlights
The current version of the plug-in is based on OpenSpirit 2.x. The OpenSpirit plug-in allows GOCAD Suite users to access the following data from Landmark and GeoQuest systems:
- well path
- well log
- well pick
- seismic 3D volumes
- horizon data (geometry & attributes)
- and faults
OpenSpirit plug-in responds to OpenSpirit data change events, and updates the display in response to changes in the OpenSpirit objects.
