What is the FLEXlm Host ID?
The FLEXlm Host ID is an unique number identifying the machine. This number is NOT the I.P. address or the serial number of the machine. This is a hexadecimal number with 8 digits on UNIX or 12 digits on Linux and Microsoft Windows. This number is to generate the temporary evaluation license.
A utility 'lmhostid' is available to easily determine the FLEXlm Host ID and is available for all the platform where Gocad is supported. You can use the link matching the platform where you want to use Gocad to download the lmhostid utility.
On UNIX, after downloading the 'lmhostid' utility, execution rights may have to be set in order to run the program.
On Microsoft Windows, the 'ipconfig /all' is a console application which must be run from a Command Prompt. Command Prompts can be launched from the Accesories group of the Start menu.
