Our Seismic Interpretation Module provides you with new ways to explore, analyze, and interpret seismic data. The module's rich features allow you to use multi-probes to quickly display multiple seismic attribute cubes, co-render multiple attribute volumes, auto-track arbitrary slices of 3D volumes (billboarding) for rapid fault interpretation and quality control (QC) of structural models. Users can run image-processing algorithms on extracted images on the fly and auto-pick faults and horizons in addition to performing seismic attributes computations and seismic facies classification. Once interpretation has been performed, we need to measure potential prospects volumes and associated uncertainties. Our Rock Volume Uncertainty Assessment tool has been designed to systematically measure the effect interpretation uncertainty and velocity uncertainty, enabling asset teams to define, analyze and visualize the envelope of uncertainty around structural scenarios, including contacts.
The Seismic Interpretation Workflow enables you to simultaneously interpret faults and horizons and to automatically build surfaces, thus breaking traditional barriers between interpretation and modeling. Using a new engine, the workflow handles several scenarios in a consistent manner, tracking all your choices and thereby creating a complete audit trail. Multiple synchronized 2D and 3D views of data simplify choosing the most appropriate view for interpretation. A new user interface ensures ease of use, and GPU capability now greatly accelerates visualization. With the new 64-bit technology, you can interpret large data sets without breaking your project into smaller pieces. New features such as isosurface probes add to the unique collection of interpretation tools that GOCAD Suite offers. Seismic Attributes now includes functionality for spectral decomposition and multi-CPU computation.
As with all components in Earth Decision' suite of applications, the Seismic Interpretation module's key benefits include significant cost and time savings, added value and improved exploration success.
